Continuing Professional Development Courses

Leak sealing - Specialist Polyurethane (PU) injection resins can seal water leaks with high hydrostatic pressure or flow. These resins can also be used against high or low water-bearing joints and cracks in concrete structures and below-ground construction.

I'd had conflicting advice about a potential damp problem at my property, with other companies recommending various treatments and potentially expensive work. Matthew came out, took the time to properly inspect everything and gave me a completely honest assessment. Rather than trying to sell me work I didn't need, he explained that there wasn't actually a damp issue requiring specialist treatment and talked me through some simple, practical steps I could take instead. I found the whole experience incredibly refreshing. When you're dealing with something like damp, it's very easy as a homeowner to worry that you're going to end up spending thousands of pounds unnecessarily. Matthew could easily have recommended work and I would have been none the wiser, but instead he was knowledgeable, straightforward and completely honest. That level of integrity says a huge amount about a company. If I ever do need damp-proofing or preservation work in the future, Shield will be the first company I call. We have been working with Shield (Matt & Rob) on our basement waterproofing project. We unfortunately had a builder that was extremely difficult to work with and caused many issues on our build. Throughout the protracted time period that we were having issues Shield tried their best to work with our builder in extremely difficult circumstances and were completely professional throughout what was a very difficult situation. When things fell apart and we were left with no builder at all Shield went above and beyond to support us, assisting us with information, their time and eventually coming back to finish the job when we had a new builder. Del and Rob who came to complete the work were professional and a pleasure to work with, friendly, efficient and very tidy and respectful of our property. The type of people that inspire confidence in the quality of the job. The post completion / after sales support is second to none, any questions we have (there have been a few!) Matt is still there to support which just shows what a genuine, knowledgeable and professional company this is. I would not hesitate to recommend.

He was fabulous, really courteous and helpful. He identified the problem and outlined various options to resolve the issue, gave us a rough idea of costings and degree of disruption each would involve. He also recommended products that may be beneficial and kindly put all the info in an email that arrived the same day- all with no fee and absolutely no sales pitch!
