During our initial survey, we identified rising damp as the primary cause. Moisture was travelling up through the masonry, leading to salt contamination and breakdown of the internal plaster finish.

Our Damp Proofing Solution

To properly resolve the issue, we carried out a full damp proofing treatment, tailored to the condition of the property:

• Removal of contaminated plaster in the affected areas
• Installation of a new chemical damp proof course (DPC)
• Application of specialist salt-retardant render
• Full replastering and finishing, ready for redecoration

This approach ensures the damp is treated at source rather than simply covered up.

The Result: A Clean, Dry, Replastered Room

As shown in the before and after images above, the transformation is clear.
The damp-stained, deteriorating walls have been replaced with clean, smooth, dry plaster, restoring both the appearance and integrity of the room.

The client has now redecorated with confidence, knowing the underlying damp issue has been professionally resolved.
