Shield Waterproofing and Preservation Ltd were called in to save the day when our client had two problematic areas that they were seeking a solution for due to water ingress.
After inspecting the site we put forward a solution whereby we carried out resin injection works which saw us:
1. Clean and prepare the lower 150mm of steel and 150mm across the slab.
2. We then drilled 14mm holes at a 45-degree angle down into the slab and back to the webbed steel.
3. Steel injection nipples were then inserted into these holes followed by pressure injection of resin.
4. We then created a mortar fillet at the base of the steel followed by an application of a 2 coat flexible waterproof slurry.
5. We took this 150mm up the steel and 150mm across the slab to complete.
To date the client has not had any further water ingress and has been very complimentary about the way our team conducted themselves on site.
If you have a water ingress problem either on a commercial, domestic, or industrial structure we would love to discuss further with you.
