As Shield Waterproofing and Preservation continues to grow, we’re excited to announce a new opportunity to join our expanding team! We’re currently looking for an experienced and motivated Waterproofing & Preservation Surveyor to support our work across the Midlands, Leeds, London, and surrounding areas.
This is a full-time position suited to someone with a strong background in damp, timber, and structural surveying – ready to take the next step in their career with a trusted, family-run business.
🛠️ About the Role
As a key member of our surveying team, you’ll be responsible for:

Carrying out detailed surveys of properties

Diagnosing issues such as damp ingress, timber decay, and structural defects

Specifying appropriate basement waterproofing and preservation solutions
-
Producing clear, professional reports and recommendations
-
Supporting technicians and clients with technical advice
-
Ensuring all work meets high industry and company standards
-
Developing client relationships and building a strong presence in your area
✅ What We’re Looking For
-
Experience in damp, timber, or property preservation surveying (preferred)
-
Industry qualifications (CSRT, CSTDB, CSSW) or currently working towards them
-
Strong understanding of building pathology and preservation techniques
-
Excellent communication and report writing skills
-
Full UK driving licence
